PKR INTERBANK RATE: Friday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 44 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR 284.53 from PKR 284.97 a day earlier.
OPEN MARKET RATES: The Pakistani Rupee remained constant in the open market as exchange companies offered the dollar at 283.5 for buying and 286.5 for selling.
Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 283 for buying and 286 for selling in the open market, up from the previous day’s closing of 283.5 for buying and 286.5 for selling. As a result, the local unit gained 50 paisa.
PKR AGAINST MAJORE CURRENCIES
The Pakistani rupee appreciated 1.44 rupees in relation to the euro, closing at 309.06 as opposed to 310.5, when compared to major currencies.
The value of the British Pound increased by 33.04 paisa, closing at 360.38 as opposed to 360.05 the previous day.
The Swiss franc closed at 325.32, down 55.51 paisa from the previous session’s closing of 325.88.
PKR lost 1.3 paisas against the Japanese yen, closing at 1.935 from 1.922 the previous day.
The Chinese Yuan closed at 39.8639, down 1.9 paisa from the previous session’s 39.8829.
The value of the Saudi Riyal decreased by 11.74 paisa from its closing value of 75.97 the previous day to 75.85.
From 77.597 a day ago to 77.479 today, the value of the U.A.E. Dirham dropped by 11.79 paisa.
