USD TO PKR INTERBANK RATE: Tuesday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 20 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR 283.01 from PKR 283.21 a day earlier.
OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.5 for buying and 284.5 for selling in the open market. PKR in the previous session closed at 284.5 for buying and 286.5 for selling.
PKR AGAINST MAJOR CURRENCIES
The PKR appreciated 4.57 paisa versus the euro relative to major currencies, closing at 309.3 instead of 309.35.
The British Pound closed at 358.49, down from 359.54 the previous day, a decrease of 1.04 rupees.
The Swiss franc closed at 326.84, up 73.26 paisa from the previous session’s closing price of 326.11.
PKR increased 2.59 paisa against the Japanese Yen, closing at 1.963 from 1.989 the previous day.
The Chinese Yuan closed at 39.6013, down 11.01 paisa from the previous session’s 39.7114.
The Saudi Riyal ended the day at 75.44, down 4.65 paisa from its opening value of 75.49.
