PKR INTERBANK RATE: Tuesday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 12 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR 283.78 from PKR 283.90 a day earlier.

OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 283.5 for buying and 285.5 for selling in the open market. In the previous session closing of 283 for buying and 284.75 for selling. As a result Dollar gained 75 paisas against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR).


The PKR depreciated 45.5 paisa in relation to the Euro, closing at 305.82 as opposed to 305.36, when compared to other major currencies.

By 84.55 paisa, the British Pound closed at 356.68, up from 355.84 the previous day.

The Swiss franc ended the day at 323.91, up 1.3 rupees from the previous session’s close of 322.61.

PKR lost 1.24 paisa versus the Japanese yen, closing at 1.9511 versus 1.9387 the previous day.

The Chinese Yuan increased by 1.44 paisa to close at 39.54, up from 39.53 in the previous session.

The Saudi Riyal ended the day at 75.66, down 3.14 paisa from its closing value of 75.69 the day before.
