In response to recent fluctuations in the international market, the Government has decided to revise the consumer prices of petroleum products effective from 1st April 2024.

During the last fortnight, the price of Petrol (Motor Gasoline) experienced an increase in the international market, while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) witnessed a marginal decline. As part of the Government’s policy to align domestic prices with international market variations, adjustments have been made accordingly.

The new consumer prices of petroleum products, effective from 1st April 2024, are as follows:

  • MS (Petrol): Rs. 289.41 per liter (an increase of +Rs. 9.66 from the existing price of Rs. 279.75 w.e.f. 16.03.2024).
  • High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Rs. 282.24 per liter (a decrease of -Rs. 3.32 from the existing price of Rs. 285.56 w.e.f. 16.03.2024).
