PKR INTERBANK RATE: Tuesday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 15 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR 284.38 from PKR 284.53 a day earlier.
OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 282.5 for buying and 285.5 for selling in the open market, up from the previous day’s closing of 283 for buying and 286 for selling. As a result, the local unit gained 50 paisa.
PKR AGAINST MAJORE CURRENCIES
The PKR appreciated 1.5 rupees in relation to the Euro, closing at 307.55 from the previous value of 309.06, when compared to other major currencies.
The British Pound closed at 358.97, up from 360.38 the previous day, a decrease of 1.42 rupees.
The value of the Swiss franc decreased by 10.16 paisa, ending the day at 325.22 as opposed to 325.32 in the prior session.
PKR dropped 0.18 paisa against the Japanese yen, closing at 1.937 from 1.935 the previous day.
The Chinese Yuan closed at 39.7992, down 6.47 paisa from the previous session’s 39.8639.
The value of the Saudi Riyal decreased by 3.29 paisa from its closing value of 75.85 the previous day to 75.82.
A day ago, the U.A.E. Dirham was worth 77.479, but today it is worth 77.44, a decrease of 3.87 paisa.
