Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend, marking the fourth consecutive session of decline. The price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs900 per tola to Rs241,000 on Thursday, reflecting ongoing easing of tensions in the Middle East.
Last week, gold prices saw a significant decrease of Rs7,800 per tola, closing at Rs244,400 as geopolitical tensions in the region eased.
According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold stood at Rs206,619 per 10 grams, marking a decrease of Rs771 compared to the previous day’s trading.
Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted lower at Rs189,400 per 10 grams.
In addition to gold, silver prices also experienced a decline in the domestic market. 24-karat silver was sold at Rs2,620 per tola and Rs2,254.8 per 10 grams.
On the global front, international spot gold is currently trading at $2,297.35, indicating a decrease of 0.92% compared to the previous close.
