Karachi, June 6, 2024 – Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase on Thursday, with 24-karat gold now being sold at Rs243,000 per tola, marking a rise of Rs2,400 per tola. This price adjustment comes amid a notable reduction in purchasing power, keeping the price Rs4,000 below its actual cost today.
According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold also saw an increase in the 10-gram measurement, reaching Rs208,333 per 10-gram, up by Rs2,057. Meanwhile, the price for 22-karat gold rose to Rs190,972 per 10-gram.
Despite the surge in gold prices, silver prices remained stable in the domestic market. The price for 24-karat silver held steady at Rs2,800 per tola and Rs2,401 per 10-gram.
On the global stage, spot gold traded near $2,361 an ounce, experiencing an increase of $6.2 or 0.26% from the previous session, reflecting ongoing global market trends influencing the local market dynamics.
