USD TO PKR INTERBANK RATE: Wednesday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 17 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR282.2 from PKR 282.37 a day earlier.

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by roughly 73 paisa against the US dollar last week, ending the session at PKR 282.53 per USD, down from PKR 283.26 per USD at the end of the previous session.

OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.5 for buying and 284.5 for selling in the open market. PKR in the previous session closed at 282 for buying and 284.8 for selling. This marks a marginal decrease in the open market rates for PKR against US Dollar.

PKR AGAINST MAJOR CURRENCIES

The British Pound saw a gain of 78.34 paisa as it closed at 359.27, down from 358.48 the day before.

The Swiss franc closed the day at 330.27, up 37.79 paisa from 329.89 at the close of the previous session.

The Pakistani Rupee gained 0.69 paisa in relation to the Japanese Yen, ending the day at 1.9772 as opposed to 1.9841.

The Chinese Yuan closed the day at 39.5, down 1.42 paisa from the close of 39.52 in the previous session.

The Saudi Riyal closed at 75.24 on the day, down 2.98 paisa from the previous day’s closing value of 75.27.

The value of the U.A.E. Dirham dropped by 4.37 paisa to 76.89 today from 76.84 a day ago.
