The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has announced a significant initiative to support farmers. In a recent meeting held in Lahore, it was decided to provide fifty-six types of agricultural machinery to farmers across the region. This move aims to enhance mechanization in agriculture and improve efficiency in farming practices.

During the meeting, it was revealed that the procurement of agricultural machinery will involve an investment of two billion rupees. These machines will then be distributed to farmers at subsidized rates, ensuring accessibility and affordability for those involved in agricultural activities. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to boosting the agricultural sector and empowering farmers with modern tools and equipment to enhance productivity and sustainability.
