PKR INTERBANK RATE: Thursday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 10 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR 283.51 from PKR 283.61 a day earlier.

OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 283.5 for buying and 283.45 for selling in the open market. In the previous session closing of 284.5 for buying and 285.5 for selling.

PKR AGAINST MAJOR CURRENCIES

The PKR depreciated 2.64 rupees in relation to the Euro, closing at 308.49 as opposed to 305.85, when compared to other major currencies.

The British Pound closed at 357.96, down from 355.05 the previous day, indicating an increase in value of 2.91 rupees.

With 1.46 rupees more in value than it had at the previous session, the Swiss franc closed at 325.35, up from 323.89.

In relation to the Japanese Yen, PKR lost 5.23 paisa, closing at 1.9972 as opposed to 1.9449 the previous day.

In the last session, the Chinese Yuan closed at 39.72, up 24.42 paisa from 39.48.

The value of the Saudi Riyal decreased by 3.18 paisa from its closing value of 75.61 one day earlier to 75.58.
