PKR INTERBANK RATE: Wednesday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 23 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR 284.14 from PKR 284.38 a day earlier.
OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 282.5 for buying and 285.5 for selling in the open market, up from the previous day’s closing of 282 for buying and 285 for selling. As a result, the local unit again gained 50 paisa for third consecutive session.
PKR AGAINST MAJORE CURRENCIES
The rupee appreciated 1.05 against the euro relative to other major currencies, closing at 306.51 against 307.55 earlier.
From 358.97 a day earlier to 358.11, the British Pound lost 86.01 paisas in value.
After losing 43.16 paisa in the previous session, the Swiss franc ended the day at 324.79, down from 325.22 earlier.
The Pakistani Rupee appreciated 0.37 paisa against the Japanese Yen, closing at 1.933 versus 1.937 the previous day.
In the previous session, the Chinese Yuan closed at 39.7992, down 9.46 paisa.
With 5.96 paisa less than it was one day earlier at 75.82, the Saudi Riyal closed at 75.76.
From 77.44 to 77.377 a day ago, the value of the U.A.E. Dirham dropped by 6.3 paisa.
