GOLD PRICES SEE UPTICK IN PAKISTAN
Gold rates in Pakistan saw a notable increase on Friday, aligning with the rise in global gold prices. The price of gold per tola reached Rs214,200 in the local market, marking a Rs400 increase within a day.
The 10-gram gold segment also experienced a rise, selling at Rs183,642, up by Rs342. This increase was reported by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This upswing comes after a significant drop on Thursday, where Gold suffered a loss of Rs1,400 a day earlier.
INTERNATIONAL GOLD MARKET TRENDS
On the international stage, gold prices showed a similar pattern of increase. The APGJSA stated that the global rate of gold stood at $2,040 per ounce on Friday, reflecting a $5 rise. This rate also included a premium of $20.
XAUUSD posted an intraday high of $2024.69 and intraday low of $2018.30. Gold is currently trading at $2023.38 (5:14pm Friday, 26 January 2024 (GMT+5) Time in Pakistan).

STEADY SILVER RATES
Contrasting with gold, the price of silver remained unchanged in Pakistan, stable at Rs2,600 per tola.
