USD TO PKR INTERBANK RATE: Thursday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 27 paisas in relation to the US dollar, finishing at PKR281.93 from PKR PKR282.2 a day earlier.

Last week, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by about 73 paisa in relation to the US dollar. At the end of the session, it was worth PKR 282.53 per USD, down from PKR 283.26 per USD at the previous close.

OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281 for buying and 283 for selling in the open market. PKR in the previous session closed at 281.5 for buying and 284.5 for selling. The change reflects an appreciation of Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar.

PKR AGAINST MAJOR CURRENCIES

The rupee dropped 1.88 against the euro relative to other major currencies, closing at 313.48 against 311.6 earlier.

After closing at 361.41 versus 359.27 a day earlier, the British Pound gained 2.14 rupees in value.

Against the previous session’s closing price of 330.27, the Swiss franc saw gains of 5.58 rupees, closing at 335.85.

With respect to the Japanese Yen, PKR lost 2.48 paisa, closing at 2.002 versus 1.9772 the previous day.

As compared to the previous session’s 39.5, the Chinese Yuan gained 17.37 paisa, closing at 39.68.

After closing at 75.24 a day earlier, the Saudi Riyal lost 6.51 paisa.

The value of the U.A.E. Dirham today dropped from 76.76 to 76.84, a decrease of 8.1 paisa.
