Islamabad, Pakistan – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken suo-motu notice of a matter related to the letter of six judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC). A seven-member larger bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, has been formed to hear the case on April 3.
The bench comprises Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Musarrat Hilali, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan.
The decision to form the bench and schedule the hearing for Wednesday comes in response to the letter reportedly written by six judges of the Islamabad High Court. The details regarding the content and context of the letter have not been disclosed yet.
