PKR INTERBANK RATE: Weekly interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by Rs1.09 in relation to the US dollar in a week, finishing the week at PKR 283.87 from PKR 284.12 a day earlier.
OPEN MARKET RATES: Exchange companies quoted the dollar at 283 for buying and 284.75 for selling in the open market, down from the previous day’s closing of 283 for buying and 285 for selling. As a result, the local unit maintained upward trajectory against the US Dollar in the open market .
PKR AGAINST MAJORE CURRENCIES
The PKR appreciated 26.66 paisa towards the Euro relative to other major currencies, closing at 305.9993 as opposed to 306.2659.
After closing at 356.6703 versus 357.4641 the previous day, the British Pound gained 79.38 paisas in value.
Losses of 98.76 paisas were incurred by the Swiss franc, which ended the day at 324.0912 as opposed to 325.0788.
The price of PKR dropped 1.89 paisa against the Japanese yen, closing at 1.9693 versus 1.9504 the previous day.
At the close of the previous session, the Chinese Yuan was worth 39.7052, but it lost 5.81 paisa.
A day ago, the value of the Saudi Riyal was 75.7509; it closed at 75.6839, down 6.7 paisa.
