DOLLAR TO PKR
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) strengthened by 2.5 paisa versus the US dollar on Thursday during the interbank session, finishing at PKR 278.38 per USD as opposed to PKR 278.4 per USD at the end of the previous session. The currency hit an intraday high (bid) of 278.5 and a low (ask) of 278.25 during the session.
MARKET FOR GOLD
On Thursday, the price of gold went up in Pakistan. The price of a tola of 24-karat gold increased by Rs400 to Rs241,000. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up to Rs206,619, or an increase of Rs343 per tola, according to the Karachi Sarafa Association. Similarly, a higher price of Rs189,400 per 10 kg for 22-karat gold was documented.
