The domestic gold market in Pakistan starts the week with an upward trend. After witnessing four consecutive weeks of decline, the price of 24-karat gold has surged by a notable Rs1,500 per tola, reaching a price of Rs215,400.
The price of 10-gram 24-karat gold now stands at Rs184,671, marking a significant increase of Rs1,286 compared to the previous day. Additionally, the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold has been reported at Rs169,282.
GOLD SPOT/ US DOLLAR (XAUUSD) posted an intraday high of $2030.68 and an intraday low of $2018.38. XAUUSD is currently trading at $2030.45 on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 12:10Pm Pakistan Time.
SILVER
Meanwhile, silver prices have remained stable in the domestic market. The rate for 24-karat silver remains at Rs2,600 per tola and Rs2,229.08 per 10-gram.
This sudden surge in domestic gold prices can be attributed to the rise in international gold prices, reflecting the dynamic nature of the precious metal market.
