GOLD PRICE PAKISTAN: The cost of 24-karat gold increased by Rs300 per tola to close the session at Rs219,600.
The price of 10-gram 24-karat gold closed today’s session at Rs188,272 posting a increase of Rs258. Meanwhile, 10-gram 22-karat gold stood at Rs172,582.
In contrast, the price of silver remained steady on the domestic market, closing at Rs 2,650 for 24-karat silver and Rs 2,271.94 for 10-gram 24-karat silver.
XAUUSD
Tuesday’s holiday-shortened trading saw a rise in gold prices as the US dollar and bond yields declined due to mounting expectations that the Federal Reserve may cut interest rates as early as March of next year.
Gold Spot/ U.S. Dollar (XAUUSD) in Friday’s session gained (+$6.97) (+0.34%). Gold gained $33.28 in the previous week.
XAUUSD posted an intraday high of $2065.21 and intraday low of $2052.99. Gold is currently trading at $2061.90 (2:37pm Tuesday, 26 December 2023 (GMT+5) Time in Pakistan).
