Car sales in Pakistan, including light commercial vehicles (LCVs), vans, and jeeps, surged by 23.9% in September 2024, reaching 10,297 units, according to the latest data released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA). This marks a significant increase compared to the 8,312 units sold during the same month last year.

On a month-on-month basis, auto sales also saw robust growth, rising by 18.4% compared to 8,699 units sold in August 2024.

Cumulative Sales for 3MFY25

For the first three months of the current fiscal year (3MFY25), cumulative car sales totaled 27,585 units, reflecting a 31.5% increase from the 20,983 units sold in the corresponding period of FY24.

The consistent upward trend in auto sales indicates recovery momentum in the automotive sector, likely driven by improved supply chains, increased consumer demand, and a stabilized economic environment.
