On Monday, the gold price in Pakistan saw a decrease, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs245,100 per tola, marking a drop of Rs1,300 per tola from previous session. Notably, the price has been kept a significant Rs3,500 below its actual cost today due to a reduction in purchasing power.
KARACHI SARAFA ASSOCIATION REPORT
The Karachi Sarafa Association reported the price of 24-karat gold at Rs210,134 per 10 grams, reflecting a decrease of Rs1,113 per tola. Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted lower at Rs192,622 per 10 grams.
SILVER PRICES REMAIN UNCHANGED
On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market. 24-karat silver continued to be sold at Rs2,900 per tola and Rs2,486 per 10 grams.
GLOBAL GOLD PRICE TREND
On the global front, spot gold traded near $2,374 an ounce, down $11.7 or 0.49% from the previous session. Last week, the yellow metal surged 2.8% to post its biggest weekly advance in three months.
